Frequently Asked Questions

How much does training cost?

The cost for training always depends on the specific needs and goals of the client. Each of our training packages are tailored to help you achieve your physical and financial goals. For more information, schedule a fitness assessment today!

What is the best way to lose weight?

I get this questions more often then any other question and it needs to be rephrased. Because there is a fast way to lose weight and a sustainable way to keep it off. The most sustainable way to lose weight if through strength training! Building muscle will help prevent sickness, it will preserve your joints, it will make you look and feel younger, it will improve your sleep and your cognitive abilities. AND of course it will keep the body fat when it is essential. The fastest way to lose weight is to cut your arm off but I don't recommend that!

What is the most important lift?

All lifts are important in different ways, the best lift depends on your specific muscle imbalances as well as your goals. For example, if you are dealing with lower back pain, you may need crunches, planks and some back stretches. If you have trouble lifting things off the ground, you may need to practice your deadlift. If you have knee pain, then squats may be beneficial for you. Every lift has some value, it is the job of a good trainer to figure out which ones are the best for you!

What is the best kind of diet?

A high protein diet is usually going to the best thing you can do for your body. But ultimatly, the best nutrition plan is the one you can stick with for the rest of your life. What you don't want to do is stick with something for 5 days and then go back to cravings for a week, then find a new fad diet and do that 2 week and then eat whatever you want for a month. This is called yoyo dieting and it messes with your brain chemistry, your body ends up storing more fat cells and it increases your appetite so you are worse off. Find a high protein plan you can stick with forever and say consistent!

What is the best type of exercise?

The best exercise is the thing you can do consistently for the rest of your lift. Whether that is lifting weights, jogging, walking, riding a bike, swimming, hiking, calisthenics, whatever it is you should be able to stay consistent. That will be the best

I don't wanna lift weights cause I'll get too big . . .

Ok, that one isn't a question but I've hear it enough that I needed to address it. Thinking you'll get too big if you lift weights is like saying you'll become a NASCAR driver the more you drive. It doesn't work like that! People spend their entire life trying to get as big as possible, you wont just wake up one day and find yourself too big. You lift weights to build muscle and speed up your metabolism. As soon as you like the amount of muscle you have put on, you change from a muscle building program to a program that helps you maintain that muscle, its as simple as that!
